Why Golf With Us?
When you register for the Lake City Charity Golf Tournament, you’re doing more than playing 18 holes — you’re helping grow the game and support youth in your community. Thanks to last year’s incredible support, we raised over $14,000, which directly benefited local basketball families and programs in the South Okanagan. Here’s how those funds were used:

Direct Support to Basketball Families
- $4,500 helped reduce overall costs for families with children in Lake City club teams.
- $4,500 covered club basketball fees for individual families in financial need.
- $1,700 helped cover youth league fees for families facing barriers to participation.
Support for School Basketball Teams
- $1,000 each was given to three local school teams — SESS Jr Boys, SOSS Grade 8 Boys, and SSS Senior Boys — to help offset the costs of attending provincial tournaments.
Facility Improvements
- $1,000 helped Holy Cross School install two brand-new basketball hoops in their gym, creating more opportunities for youth to play.
Scholarships for Graduating Student-Athletes
- $2000 awarded to two Lake City graduating athletes heading to post secondary to study and play basketball
Growing the Game from the Ground Up
- $1,800 subsidized our Little Dribblers program, making it more affordable for kids in Grades 1–2 to try basketball for the first time.
Your support helps keep basketball accessible, inclusive, and thriving across the South Okanagan.
Seeking Hole Sponsors
We’re currently looking for 18 Hole Sponsors to support this year’s Lake City Charity Golf Tournament. For $250, hole sponsors will have their company name and logo featured on a large sign at a designated hole, offering great visibility and a clear show of support for youth, sport, and community involvement. Sponsorships help fund scholarships, reduce player fees, and support the continued growth of our grassroots basketball programs.
