Club Teams - General Information
Lake City strives to provide high quality and competitive basketball opportunities for youth. One of the best ways to accomplish this is through club basketball programming.
Tryouts:
In order to play on a Lake City club team, a formal tryout is required. The tryout takes place over two days and allows a group of Lake City coaches to evaluate players in order to create a team.
Club Team Structure:
Lake City is currently offering boys' teams at the U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16 and U17 team. Club athletes will practice two days per week and will compete in the Premiere Hoops Circuit (PHC) - a regional league of competitive club teams). Additionally, teams may attend one or two tournaments in Kamloops, Kelowna, or the Lower Mainland.
We are also offering girls' teams at the U12-U17 level. Our girls' teams will compete in 3 to 4 weekends of tournament and exhibition play.
Season of Play:
Tryouts (ID Camps) take place March 9-12 @ Penticton Secondary School. The season begins in April and is finished by mid June.
