Youth Leagues
Lake City basketball offers two types of leagues for athletes that are offered in the Fall, Winter and Spring: Development League and G-League.
The development league is organized into two sections; a Rookie League and an All-Star League.
Rookie, Pro and All-Star Leagues:
Registration information:
Fall Leagues: Registration opens in August. League play begins in early October and ends the late November.
Spring Leagues: Registration opens in February. League play begins in early April and ends late June.
Winter League: Registration opens in November. League play begins in early January and ends late March.
The development league is organized into two sections; a Rookie League and an All-Star League.
Rookie, Pro and All-Star Leagues:
- 10 week competitive program.
- Designed for youth in grades 2-4 (Rookie), 5-7 (Pro) 8-10 (All-Star).
- Features 40 minutes of skills training + 32 minute game.

Winter League: Registration opens in November. League play begins in early January and ends late March.
Lake City Leagues were introduced by coach Spencer McKay in 2018. Spencer comes with a tremendous amount of playing and coaching experience. His goal is grow youth basketball in the South Okanagan by providing quality instruction in a competitive, engaging, yet fun environment so that youth basketball can continue to grow in our area.
